If you spend a lot of time sawing trail with chainsaws like we do you need to think hard on how to carry a chainsaw. Some people like saw racks, others (like me) like backpacks. The saw rack vs saw pack conundrum is a discussion for another time and place, but if you like front-mounted saw racks and use top-handle arbor saws, Trail Tech has just the ticket.

Over the years I've experimented with just about every saw and motorcycle mount configuration commercially available and home-engineered a few of my own. The Trail Tech Chainsaw Mount is one of the best commercially made systems available - as long as you use arbor saws. The mount is made specifically for Stihl MS192/193 T-CE arbor saws but I've found that it works with not only my 193 but with my Dolmar and other small arbor saws acceptably well.

The TT Chainsaw mount is CNC machined from polymer composite with aluminum mounting brackets and a bar slot guard. It's very easy to quickly install and remove - but it does require the removal of your headlight or number plate. It attachers to the same spot on your front forks and in the same manner as your headlight. Once on it's light, rugged, clean and simple.

The Trail Tech Chainsaw Mount is available for $219.95. TT provided me with one for this review. They are, however, soon to be discontinued so get one while you can.

The Good: It does not get more clean and simple
The Rad: Amazingly lightweight for what it is
The Gnarly:  Increases roll moment of inertia
