There are two routs to take from the Pahsimeroi Valley. Either you take the Lawson Creek or the Trail Creek route before you decent into the town of Challis. I like the Lawson Creek route the best. Is this route suitable for big twins?

Have another look at the T1 route description page for what works for dual sports and what doesn't, fuel considerations, etc. There is a lot of information there but it's unavoidably wordy. But if you plow it though all is eventually revealed.

In this case either route works. Trail Creek would be harder though.

Thanks Martin.
I am using both the T2 and T1 route description and the GPS files I have down loaded from your site to build my own custome route. And they have been very helpfull. I am mixing and matching parts of your GPS routes and building my own down to the 10th of a mile to reduce the chance of getting off course or lost. Plus it helps me estimate how long of a segment I can ride between fuel stops. So far I have estimated about 200 miles of travel per day.

Thank you again for your help and information.

No worries.

All of T2 may be done on virtually any dual sport. About 80% of T1 could be reasonably attempted by most dual sports. The places you'd want to stay away from on a big bike are most of day 1, parts of the second day (near Pocatello), the Massacre Mtn. Loop, the Pete King Trail. Every thing else, in the right conditions, is fine for even big beemers (subject to the proviso in the FAQ).

Let us know how it all goes.

cheers
