Check this out: http://hellforleathermagazine.com/2009/10/harley-kills-buell-will-sell-m.htmlI feel really bad for fans and customers of MV Agusta. Based on the recent controversy over the Buell 1125RR in AMA pro racing, and the slap in the face recently delivered on the Buell website to loyal fans of the Buell Blast , I feel not the least bit sorry for Buell. Even though I have found some Buell motorcycles to be eminently praiseworthy, the "FU" to loyal followers of the Blast was a rude epiphany. Any company that ridicules their own customers gets no sympathy from me. m

I'd forgotten about the way they blasted the Blast. That was very poor form.
Previously I'd lamented Buell's demise. They weren't just putting crate motors into noodle frames. They were making some good bikes. But now that you've reminded me of the way they treated the Blast buyers, I say what goes around comes around.

Do you remember Keith Giglio from WSMC? Campaigned a Blast.

I never met Keith, but I recall he could catch up and walk away from Eric Compton's Ascot on the straights.
I know a lady who rode a Blast across the country more than once.

Yeah. The thing was that Keith was really loyal to the whole Buell Blast concept - that you could build a functional and fun little motorcycle suitable for beginners and fun for everyone for not a lot of money. He actually did pretty good with the thing in spite of all of the teasing. I remember that the track announcer referred to it as "The mighty Buell Blast."
Taking a swipe at those folks was just plain bad ju-ju. It's the great wheel in the sky taking a turn I'm telling ya....
